Approximately 25% of Linux users in the survey reported using SteamOS, highlighting the role of Valve’s hardware ecosystem in promoting Linux gaming. The accessibility provided by the Steam Deck has encouraged users who might not be inclined to install Linux on their desktops.
Although Linux still represents a small fraction of the gaming market compared to Windows, this increase indicates a growing presence that developers and publishers may find increasingly difficult to overlook.
