NVIDIA has announced that its cloud gaming service, GeForce Now, will soon be available for Linux users. The native app, which was unveiled at CES, will enable gamers to stream titles at impressive resolutions and frame rates. Specifically, the GeForce Now Linux app will support up to 5K resolution at 120 frames per second, with some games reaching 360 FPS on maximum settings.
The announcement included a trailer showcasing gameplay from popular titles, including Cyberpunk 2077 and Arc Raiders. Given that the Steam Deck operates on Linux, this new app will be a significant addition for users of that platform, as well as for those who will use the upcoming Steam Machine and Steam Frame devices, which also run on Linux.
While NVIDIA has not confirmed a release date for the Linux app, it has promised that it is “coming soon.” For more details on this announcement, you can visit the dedicated topic page for CES 2026.
