PorteuX 2.4 offers eight editions, which include popular environments like GNOME 49.1, KDE Plasma 6.5.2, Xfce 4.20, Cinnamon 6.4.13, LXDE 0.11.1, LXQt 2.3, MATE 1.28.2, and COSMIC Beta 5. Key features of this release include:
noupdateclock cheatcode to manage the automatic date/time update during boot.kmap cheatcode in Wayland sessions, except for Cinnamon and GNOME.Additionally, this release introduces HEIC image support specifically in the LXQt edition and autoload settings for cron and docker services. There are numerous performance enhancements, including a more reliable deactivate -f command and better linker flags for smaller binaries.
The Xfce edition features an updated elementary-icon package for dynamic icon adaptation between dark and light themes. The MATE edition has a refined search tool to show results in a binary format, while the LXDE edition benefits from an updated theme.
