As part of its strategy, Qualcomm will start by upstreaming core drivers for Linux distributions to support its Oryon CPU cores and Hexagon NPU. By the end of 2026, the company aims to deliver a functional reference Linux distro based on Debian. Furthermore, in early 2027, Qualcomm intends to release a simplified installation process for both Debian and Ubuntu Linux, with the first devices expected to be HP and Asus models, including the Asus Zenbook A 16.
