The TUXEDO Stellaris 16 Gen7, a Linux-powered laptop, has officially launched an AMD variant featuring the AMD Ryzen 9 processors. This includes options for the Ryzen 9 9955HX and the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D, both boasting an impressive 16 cores and up to 32 threads, along with a clock speed of up to 5.4GHz.
Originally introduced in May 2025 with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, the Stellaris 16 received feedback from customers expressing a desire for an AMD version. TUXEDO Computers has now fulfilled that demand. The Ryzen 9 options are marketed as ideal for demanding tasks like video editing, code compilation, and high-frame-rate gaming. The 9955HX version offers 64MB of L3 cache, while the 9955HX3D doubles this with an impressive 128MB thanks to its 3D V-Cache technology.
In terms of specifications, the laptop retains its standout features including a 1000 nits HDR mini-LED matte display with a 2560×1600 resolution and a 300 Hz refresh rate, a 99 Wh battery, support for ultra-high-speed PCIe-5.0 SSD storage, and options for up to NVIDIA RTX 5090 graphics. The configuration tops out at 96 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, making it suitable for intensive multitasking and graphical tasks.
Pre-orders for the AMD variant of the Stellaris 16 Gen7 are now open on TUXEDO Computers’ online store, starting at 2,499 EUR (approximately $2,480 USD for customers outside Europe) for the base model, which includes the Ryzen 9 9955HX CPU, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU, 16 GB DDR5 RAM, and a 500 GB Samsung 980 SSD. Shipping is expected to commence in early August 2025.
