The PipeWire project has released version 1.4.3, which adds several important updates and improvements to this open-source audio and video server used in Linux systems. This release follows version 1.4.2, which was introduced about five weeks earlier.
Version 1.4.3 enhances netJACK2 functionality by fixing various driver and manager roles, improving error handling, and adding support for sending custom commands and default filter values. It also improves filter-graph state management and ALSA audio channels support, ensuring that values fall within a valid range. Additionally, handling of sysex messages in UMP has been improved to allow for better debugging.
Notable changes include improvements in handling MIDI streams, better support for raw formats in video4linux2, and fixes for several bugs concerning MIDI 1.0 conversion and mixer control types.
