The Document Foundation has released LibreOffice 25.2.4, marking it as the fourth maintenance update in the LibreOffice 25.2 series. This update comes roughly five weeks after version 25.2.3 and addresses a total of 52 bugs, aiming to enhance the overall stability and reliability of this well-regarded open-source office suite.
Users are strongly encouraged to update to version 25.2.4 to benefit from the various bug fixes and improvements that have been implemented. The new version can be downloaded from the official website as binaries for DEB and RPM-based Linux distributions, as well as a source tarball.
LibreOffice 25.2 was initially released on February 6, 2025, and it introduced several significant features, including a privacy function that removes personal information associated with documents. This addition is part of a broader initiative as the LibreOffice 24.8 series reaches its end of life on June 12, 2025. The Document Foundation urges users still on version 24.8 to upgrade to the recent releases as soon as possible.
The LibreOffice 25.2 series will receive ongoing support with seven maintenance updates anticipated through November 30, 2025. The next update, version 25.2.5, is expected in mid-July 2025.
