One of the standout features of Calibre 8.5 is the ability to customize how series numbers are displayed on Kobo e-readers by using a template. Additionally, it supports the most recent Tolino firmware. A new button has also been added to the Manage Data Files dialog, allowing users to cancel ongoing operations when managing multiple e-books simultaneously.
In this release, the scrollbars have been updated in light-mode to match the style of those in dark mode, thereby enhancing visibility. Other noteworthy improvements include better highlight grouping for recurring chapter names in the E-book Viewer, the option to replace UUIDs with random English text for emails sent to Amazon and Pocketbook, and preventing the unnecessary initiation of the conhost.exe process on Windows 11 for every Calibre worker.
