Continuing its tradition, Emmabuntüs Debian Edition 6 features a dual desktop setup, with Xfce as the default graphical environment for the live session, alongside LXQt for users seeking a lighter interface. Included are Xfce 4.20 and LXQt 2.1.
Significantly, this release emphasizes accessibility improvements, introducing features that users can activate through a dedicated interface. Enhancements include speech synthesis during navigation, support for three Orca profiles, and new scripts to show laptop battery levels. Additionally, features for the visually impaired consist of unmounting USB drives, beep notifications for USB insertion, and support for the LIOS (Linux-Intelligent-OCR-Solution) and Index Braille embosser.
