For instance, these organizations saw an average of $23.2 billion in benefits from a mere $3.9 billion investment between 2018 and 2025.
Costs of Maintenance: The report also sheds light on the hidden maintenance taxes related to passive consumption of open-source software. Around 49% of organizations resort to internal workarounds for necessary features not part of open source roadmaps, resulting in average annual costs of approximately $670,000.
