Bazzite Linux 44: September 6th Update Brings Even More Fixes! 

The Bazzite Linux team continues to deliver frequent updates following the recent main release of Bazzite 44, particularly intended for handheld devices. Since the major launch, users can expect weekly updates aimed at resolving ongoing issues.

In a recent post on their forum, the team announced several changes. They expressed their commitment to enhancing features such as desktop Thermal Design Power (TDP) control and fan control, while also thanking users for their valuable feedback on previous issues.

Key Updates:

• Resolved display issues that caused flickering or loss of signal under Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and HDMI 2.1 on AMD devices.
• The OGUI now provides options to toggle TDP Boost and Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) on all supported handhelds. Users can find these controls in the Steam Quick Access Menu when the performance profile is set to Performance/Custom.
• Additional handhelds now have TDP control added, with more updates expected.
• Fixed an issue where Ally X handhelds wouldn’t go to sleep if the controller was active during the sleep animation.
• Corrected a bug affecting some devices that were emulating a Steam Deck controller improperly, which hindered the functionality of Steam + A/B shortcuts.
• Updated InputPlumber to its latest version, adding or improving support for various handheld models from manufacturers such as ASUS, AYN, Ayaneo, GPD, KONKR, and OneXPlayer.
• Users experiencing desktop control issues can enhance settings by navigating to Settings -> Controller -> Show Advanced Settings -> Desktop Layout in Steam, and adjusting controller bindings accordingly.
• The Linux Kernel has been updated to version 7.2.3.
• OpenRazer is now included in the Terra package, which will automatically uninstall the older repository during installation.
